Bethany did a great job introducing these chapters last time. I like how she pointed out Israel’s posture in this book, which is not necessarily one of repentance.
I posted the verse above because it resonated with me. How often do we respond to God’s discipline this way? (Or simply just natural consequences of our actions?)
God’s right, I deliberately disobeyed, but look how awful things are for me!
It’s much easier to be a victim than to take responsibility for our actions and repent.
Is there something you need to take ownership of in your life? A mistake or decision that has led to consequences you knew would happen?
