All I can come up with right now as a response is “welp, God does whatever he wants whenever he wants to! Good luck and see ya in 1 John on Monday”.

How did the book of Job hit ya this time around?
What questions popped up? What answers did God provide?

“Then he died, an old man who had lived a long, full life.” 43:17
That’s how the book closes out. After all the ups and downs of Job’s life, he still dies and (I assume) gets buried in the dirt. Suffering and death show no partiality; even the godly, rich and revered will experience it.
I’m relieved we’re through the book, and anxious to get into the New Testament, but glad we read it.
