I loved Bethany’s reflection of these chapters from our last read-through of Psalms.
–
“But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.” 56:3
I like David’s language here. It’s not “I want to” or “I should”, like most of my prayers read. It’s “I will put my trust in you”.
Is it that simple? Just a determined decision to trust God?
Take a minute and reflect: where are you putting your trust in when you’re afraid?
Modern medicine? Good luck? National security? Your own accomplishments? Loved ones?
On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand. Jesus, teach me how to trust in you solely when I’m afraid. I have a lot to learn.
