Paul’s letters are always full of so much goodness. (Especially 6:11, you guys, I always laugh!) Here’s what jumped out to me today:
“Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else. For we are each responsible for our own conduct.” 6:4
What prompts you to compare yourself to others? What prompts you to stop?
“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” 6:9
I start to get worn out from doing good when I’m results-driven. Even if I’m holding out for good, godly results. Performing always gets old. But whole-heartedly serving the Lord out of a fiery love for him? Boundless.
