“Therefore He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them.” (7:25)
Lately I have been stumbling over how to pray. My heart doesn’t always know what exactly I’m asking for.
We have a Great High Priest who helps us pray, and intercedes for us when all our soul can do is whisper “please”. As we listen to Him in prayer, sometimes we find Him filling our mouths with the words we couldn’t find. These are the prayers we can know He will surely answer.
He lives forever. Hallelujah!
Spend some time thinking about Jesus as your High Priest. Like I said, awhile back, God’s plot twist when agreeing to Israel’s plea for a go-between, was to eventually make that person Himself via His Word becoming flesh. Jesus approaches the Father for you. What will you ask Him? What will you listen for? Do you pray only for yourself or for others as well? Who can you intercede, together with Christ, for today?
